Significant financial benefits
The presence of wind farms generates, for the municipalities, an important tax source thanks to the “contribution économique territoriale” (formerly a professional tax) and to the land tax. These economic sources allow towns and municipalities to develop new services or equipment for their communities.
FUTUREN also compensates the owners of the land on which the wind turbines are installed. These are additional revenues for farmers who can continue farming their land, keeping in mind that the land space occupied by wind turbines is very limited.
Demand for local jobs
The construction of a wind farm requires many suppliers, from service providers to manual labor with complementary skills, particularly in the area of civil engineering or for the creation of access roads for the turbines. For this, we do our best to call upon local businesses. During the entire operational phase, jobs may also be created, notably for the oversight of the wind farm.
